Reception Hours

9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on facility inspection days)

Using Center Facilities

You need to register as a Fureai-net (Kawasaki City Public Facility Usage Reservation System) user before you can apply to use the center’s facilities. (Note: Fureai-net is available in Japanese only.)

You can easily make lottery applications and reservations to use the facilities (*1) by phone, online, or through user terminals.

Please bring your user card when applying and on the day that you will be using the facilities.

*1: Excluding the hall, reception room, special conference room, special reception room, and conference rooms being used in conjunction with the above.

Application Period

You can apply to use the facilities between six months and two weeks before the date of intended use

Application Procedures

  • Submit your facility use application form at the center’s service window
  • The order of arrival is considered to be the order that application forms are submitted. If more than one application is received at the same time, uses for the purpose of international exchange shall be prioritized. Other uses shall be entered into a lottery.

  • If you wish to use ancillary equipment, please apply in advance.
    For the reception room, you may submit your equipment usage request form on the day of intended use.

Sixty days or more before the day of intended use:
No cancellation fee
Fifty-nine to thirty days before the day of intended use:
50 percent of the usage fee
Twenty-nine or fewer days before the day of intended use:
100 percent of the usage fee

Please note that if you do not provide notice of a cancellation you may not be allowed to use center facilities in the future.

If you cancel during a period in which a cancellation fee is incurred, you must cancel in person at the service window.

Days of Use

Users are limited to three days of consecutive center facility use to ensure fairness. In addition, a user may only apply to use center facilities a maximum of five times per month.
Furthermore, the hall may only be used once per month each on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays per user.

Open all year except for the year-end/New Year’s holidays (Dec. 29 to Jan. 3) and facility inspection days.

Facility usage fees and ancillary equipment usage fees must be paid in advance no later than the day before the day of intended use. Please pay in cash at the reception service window or by Japan Post Bank account transfer.
If you pay by postal transfer, please bring the copy to the reception desk on the day of use.

Other precautions for Use

Usage Permits

You will receive a usage permit on the day of use for the following facilities:

  • Hall
  • Reception room
  • Special conference room
  • Special reception room

You will not be permitted to use center facilities in the following cases:

  • You cause a nuisance/disturbance affecting other users, or are likely to do so
  • Your activities would impede the administration of center facilities
  • Other cases in which the use of center facilities, etc. is recognized as being improper

Notes Regarding Use

  • The group’s designated representative must remain at the venue until the end of the activity/event.
  • After the activity/event is over, you are asked to return all equipment, ancillary equipment, etc. to their original states, lock the doors, and return the key(s).
  • You must compensate the center for any loss or damage to facilities, equipment, etc.
  • The Fire Service Act requires that users strictly observe facility capacities (occupancy limits).
  • Users and visitors must observe the following rules:
    1. Do not allow more people into the facility than the designated capacity.
    2. Do not put posters up or use tacks or nails of any kind on the center’s walls, pillars, columns, etc.
    3. Do not bring hazardous items or animals (including pets) into the facilities.
    4. Do not engage in the sales of products or provide food and drink without permission.
    5. Do not solicit donations or engage in other similar acts.
    6. Do not bring in or wear helmets, signs, flags or other items for demonstration purposes.
    7. Do not remodel facilities and equipment or install special equipment without permission.
    8. Follow any other instructions from center staff members.
  • Users of conference rooms and other facilities requiring food and drink. please contact the reception desk.

Preparation for Use

Meetings for Stage Performances, Etc. (Hall and Reception Room)
Users of the hall may need to meet with center staff members regarding stage settings, programs, lighting and so on to ensure that preparations and the event proceed smoothly. Since these meetings are conducted in Japanese, those who require interpretation must come with a person who speaks Japanese. The center will contact you to set up a date for the meeting.
Personnel Needed to Use Facilities
Users are required to designate a representative. Users are also asked to maintain order within and outside of the center
Tea and Smoking
Kawasaki International Center is a nonsmoking facility.
If you will be serving tea at conference rooms, etc., please use the teacups provided by the center. You must provide your own tea. After you are finished, please wash any items you used and return them to the designated location.
