  Location of Kawasaki
Kawasaki lies within the Tokyo-Yokohama urban corridor

The Tama River serves as Kawasaki's boundary with Tokyo to the north. Immediately to the south is the port city of Yokohama.
Because Kawasaki City lies between these two cities, it takes less than 30 minutes to get to either one by train or car.
These three adjoining cities, with a combined population of more than 16 million people, form the hub of modern Japan.
