Announcement of Upcoming Events for Urgent Support to Ukraine

Many of you might recently feel the hurt of the Ukraine watching the devastation caused by the war in Ukraine. We would like to announce the upcoming events for Ukraine in Kawasaki city followed by the expanding humanitarian assistance not only in Japan but also all over the world.

Kawasaki Shinyuri Art Festival ‘Arte Ricca Shinyuri’ Charity Concert
Date: May 5, 2022 (Thurs) Doors open at 13:00 Performance begins at 14:00
Place: Kawasaki Asao Shiminkan Dai Hall
Admission Fee: Free (Please donate to humanitarian assistance for Ukraine)
Eligible Applicant: if there are too many, priority will be given to a Kawasaki-City resident or those who work or study in Kawasaki City

As one of humanitarian aids, the Ukraine related people shall be invited for free of charge to not only the above charity concert but all the performances during the period from April 22 to May 15 at ‘Arte Ricca Shinyuri’ except for the ones whose tickets are sold out.

Ukrainian Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition & Talk Event
We will exhibit Ukrainian traditional art crafts ‘pisanki’ and photographs of the terrible sights by Russian invasion to Ukraine and invite a Ukrainian artist, Ms Tetyana Soltska who is from Kyiv and lives in Kawasaki city. At the same time, a talk event about the Ukrainian history and culture by Ms Tetyana Soltska family will be held.

Date: May 7 (Sat)

May 8(Sun)

  • Traditional art crafts and photo exhibition 10:00–17:00
  • Talk event (1)11:00–11:30 (2)14:00–14:30 (3)16:00–16:30

Admission free, Reservation is required for the talk event
