Announcement regarding Vaccination against H1N1

This vaccine is used for prevention and reduction of H1N1 symptoms, as well as prevention of death. However, this vaccine is not guaranteed. Also, the supply of vaccine is limited world-wide.
This website offers information to enable the reader to better understand the function of the vaccine against H1N1 influenza.

Regarding the Vaccine against H1N1

This vaccination can assist in managing people’s symptoms. However, how far it can stop the infection is not certain. It means that this vaccine does not absolutely destroy the infection. Also, there are some cases where the area around the vaccination has swelled up, and others have experienced fever after the vaccination. Moreover, there is a possibility for some to experience critical conditions.

For those who are eligible to receive the vaccination before others are not under any obligations to do so. Only those who would like to have this vaccination can take it earlier.

Those who are eligible to receive this vaccination in advance of others, & Vaccination Schedule

Eligible Schedule
Those who have priority to receive the vaccination 1. Those who work at a medical facility Oct. 22nd ~
2. Those who are pregnant or those who have a chronic disease* Middle of Nov. ~
3. Children (1 year old - Grade 3) End of Dec. ~
4. Guardians who have a child under age one, and guardians of those who have a priority to receive a vaccine but cannot receive it because of health problem. First half of Jan. ~
Others Children (Grades 4-6), Junior High School, High School Students, etc. Second half of Jan. ~
Seniors (65 years old and older) Second half of Jan. ~

*The definition of the “Chronic Disease” is very precise. Please consult your regular doctor to find out.

Where and how to proceed to receive a vaccination

You can receive a vaccination at any medical facility that has a contract with the government. When the time comes when you are eligible to receive it, please contact the facility where you go to regularly first. You may be required to show the documents that prove your eligibility.
Also, those who are receiving Social Security, or those who are tax-exempt can receive subsidy by showing the required documents at the reception desk of the medical facility.
